Safety is a big concern for these lights. Zone lighting is another popular lighting form. This is where you will have various zones lit up around your home for such things as pools, gardens, flowers, plants, and other accentuated pieces.
Solar powered outdoor lighting has helped pioneer a change in the long-standing effects of traditional outdoor lighting. Solar lighting is green in two ways. Traditional lighting causes nighttime light pollution. Of course traditional methods of generating electricity (coal, nuclear) cause pollution that solar power does not.
Absorbing Energy From The Sun. The average solar post light has a solar panel built into the top, which spends all day long absorbing the rays of the sun. While it does this, the power gets stored into a AA-type cell, and when the sun goes down, the light sensor within activates the battery, which powers long-lasting LED bulb. LED is use a little more power than traditional fluorescent or incandescent bulbs, but they last for years longer than either of them.
There are some safety measures that you should take when doing this. First you should always have your wires in conduit, which encases them so that animals and the like will not be able to chew through them. Leave a little bit of wire around the fixtures so that in the event that you want to adjust them, you will be able to move them around freely.
