What do you see when you look outside your window at night? Even if it is just after sunset, do you stay outdoors, hangout on your deck, enjoying your patio, possibly setting up a pergola on your lawn or getting busy with your hobby in your backyard? Unless you live in a residential building or apartment thats around the city life, near the downtown areas, or in a very well-lit neighborhood, you are likely to have dark outdoor areas of your property.
There are many types of outdoor lights that you can use in a variety of ways. One of these types is called uplighting. This is where your fixtures are aimed upwards to accent and draw attention to specific areas of your home. Another type is downlighting. This type of lighting is used for putting a spotlight feature on certain designated areas around your home.
