Absorbing Energy From The Sun. The average solar post light has a solar panel built into the top, which spends all day long absorbing the rays of the sun. While it does this, the power gets stored into a AA-type cell, and when the sun goes down, the light sensor within activates the battery, which powers long-lasting LED bulb. LED is use a little more power than traditional fluorescent or incandescent bulbs, but they last for years longer than either of them.
Is it worth your while to install solar post lights? A pole with a nice light sitting atop can add a touch of elegance to your front yard. Putting one on either side of the start of your front walk adds a touch of class. You can intersperse several of them about your yard to illuminate the whole thing. Or you can have one lone post standing there, offering its own glowing vigil to your property, much like in the popular Disney movie "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe."
Gardens and parks also require sophisticated illumination. The remarkable thing about solar fixtures is that placement is so much simpler. It does not have to be connected into a grid because each light can be its own self-contained power unit.
They give a useful amount of illumination to make it that much easier to enter and leave a property. One of the most attractive styles to install above the front door is the lantern wall light which has a very inviting and stylish look. Also, the flush fitting wall lights give similar illumination, but are more cost-effective and great for installing above the back or side doors.
