Absorbing Energy From The Sun. The average solar post light has a solar panel built into the top, which spends all day long absorbing the rays of the sun. While it does this, the power gets stored into a AA-type cell, and when the sun goes down, the light sensor within activates the battery, which powers long-lasting LED bulb.
