In 1291, the city of Venice sent glass-makers to Murano because glass making posed a risk of burning down the wood structures in Venice. It was the development of a brilliant and shiny glass, called aventurine glass or goldstone, which exceeded all other glass. Even to this day, Murano glass is unsurpassed. The glass-makers of Murano did not just stop at aventurine glass though.
The Victoria pendant is also very appropriate here, especially in a reception. For wall fixtures, the Oboe style is downplayed and subtle, making for a decent fixture for hallways, and around receptions. A Onedin style is better suited to where one would place a bureau.
For a nice play of colours, say, you want to go for a Mediterranean appeal and you prefer a DIY method of achieving the look, you can paint clear glass pendant lights with transparent and iridescent enamel paint. You can use a wide range of vibrant colours to achieve that polished or raw stained glass effect. Iridescent paint produces that special effect that changes hues depending on the amount of light available. Transparent paint, on the other hand, is very smooth and allows light to shine through. There are still so many other decorating ideas for pendant lighting and you can use all sorts of materials to help you create the look for your home that best reflects your aesthetic inclination and personality.
Black chandeliers are getting popular as an interior decoration today. The color black is elegant and modern. You can also find good deals online. You can find a black chandelier for only less than a hundred dollars. The pricing usually depends on the style and number of light bulbs.
