When looking around, you will find that there are a good many styles from tall and skinny to short and wide to everything in between. Many post light mirror the classical look of the Victorian age style of lighting, including some hanging-lantern style. Floodlights are a useful option to give a little extra illumination to the outside seating areas, steps, driveways and paths. Alternatively, the deck lights can help to mark out a pathway. Accent lights are the best option to add a touch of drama and atmosphere to the garden. They are a nice way to highlight a water feature, sculpture, pond, certain plants or other focal points outside. A single accent light placed under foliage or near a favorite feature gives a focused and intense beam, while a light placed either side of the feature creates the more flattering and soft effect.
