Lighting matters! It is not only important on TV and movie sets, but also in the kitchen. Indeed, if you are on a small budge, kitchen lighting is one of the most dramatic ways to transform your kitchen. Swap out the old-country style single overhead light fixture for a few well-placed projection-style light elements, and you will pleasantly surprised by the dramatic change in look and feel of your kitchen. There are four basic lighting types for the kitchen. Through a simple mix-and-matching the four different lighting types, you can recreate and accentuate your kitchen design style.
A couple minutes later we had a step stool, a pair of gloves, and a huge supply of light bulbs at our command. I proceeded to change out all the 75watt incandescent R30 flood light bulbs with 50watt halogen PAR 20 spotlights. By exchanging the incandescent floods with Halogen spots I was able to get more intense light where it was needed. As a result, I was able to create more contrast which gave my client is room a - voila! - dynamic dramatic look!
